Taping classes?

Here (Lectures on tape) is a piece about the scary possible repercussions of having lectures recorded. Is it now necessary to teach as if your every word might be broadcast?

Also, The Daily Texan ran an opinion piece on Monday that ties in closely with some of controversies my students are writing about in 306. It is by a law professor at UT and covers issues like paying college football players, what a “legitimate” student is, and the effects of “big-time college football” on the integrity of a university. I made a copy of it if anybody wants to use it in class.
